This Privacy Policy explains what information MetaX.Academy ("we", "us", "the site") collects when you visit https://metax.academy, how that information is used, and the choices you have. We are an educational publisher; we aim to collect as little personal data as possible.
1. Who we are
MetaX.Academy is an independent educational website curated by Maher. It publishes original writing about the operator curriculum (TopTech), the Academies Community, and MacroLifeTach research. You can reach us any time through our contact page.
2. Information we collect
MetaX.Academy is a static website. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not run a login system. The information involved in your visit falls into two groups:
- Information you choose to send us. If you email us or use a contact form, we receive the details you provide (such as your name, email address, and message) solely to reply to you.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, standard server logs and third-party services may record technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you view. This is used for security, aggregate analytics, and serving advertising.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We and our partners use them to remember preferences, measure traffic, and deliver and measure advertising. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can refuse non-essential cookies where a consent banner is presented.
4. Advertising — Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. In connection with this:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices.
For more information on how Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps, see Google's Privacy & Terms.
5. Advertising — Adsterra
We may also display advertisements supplied by Adsterra. Adsterra and its demand partners may set cookies and use device identifiers to select and measure ads. Adsterra's handling of data is described in the Adsterra Privacy Policy. Where required, ads are only shown after you consent to advertising cookies.
6. Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate, non-identifying traffic patterns (for example, which articles are popular). This helps us improve the content. Analytics data is not used to identify individual visitors.
7. Legal bases and your rights
Depending on your location (for example the EEA, UK, or California), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent for advertising cookies at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the contact page.
8. Children's privacy
MetaX.Academy is intended for a general, adult, professional audience. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Data retention and security
We keep correspondence only as long as needed to respond to you and meet legal obligations. We take reasonable technical measures to protect information, but no method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure.
10. Third-party links
Our pages may link to external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; we encourage you to read their policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The "last updated" date above will always show the current version.
